Area Scaffolding Limited provides Access & Scaffolding Services in Lowestoft, Great Yarmouth, Norwich and surrounding areas. We serve both commercial and domestic customers with small or large projects.
We employ qualified personnel with extensive and ongoing Health & Safety Training, all our crews are CITB trained & certified. They are experienced in bespoke & standard projects and carry out work in a professional & efficient manner. We lease, erect and dismantle scaffolding as well as temporary roofing systems and internal working platforms (Fall Arrest). We are also able to provide Scaffolding Inspection Services.

Area Scaffolding delivers the full package. All of our work is underpinned by the strongest possible commitment to the Health & Safety of our employees and clients.
We offer a range of high quality commercial and residential scaffolding services, we will design and tailor the scaffolding to suit your individual needs and schedule such as a new build or a more bespoke project such as support scaffolds, advertising boards, marine scaffolds etc.
Included in our prices are 4 weeks’ rental, the scaffolds will be checked at regular intervals as per Health and Safety requirements and once the project is completed the scaffold will be dismantled in a timely manner. Our scaffolding is available for long or short term hire.
Building Encapsulation & Temporary Roofs
When it comes to inclement weather, a temporary roof will give you protection against the elements allowing your work to continue uninterrupted and protecting the interior of the building.
We can encapsulate your works to provide protection or containment, shielding your workforce and equipment from climate conditions and protecting the public and environment against dust and debris.
Crash Decks
We install crash decks, these are high up on HSE hierarchy of systems to use. Our customers use them for a variety of projects ranging from light duty projects such as providing access for painting to the maximum load projects such as internal blockwork.
Crash decks provide access, edge protection and allows for installation of floorings joists and roof trusses to internal areas whilst providing a safe working environment to contractors and employees.
Health & Safety
We are fully committed to the Health & Safety of our employees and our customers.
In 2015/2016 Falls from Height had the highest percentage of fatal injuries in the workplace, that is why we are partnered with Foley & Baugh Associates, they fulfil all of our Health and Safety requirements and have trained our managers to an IOSH standard. We realise that Health and Safety is of the utmost importance and continually strive to keep our employees trained to the highest standard.
Scaffolding Inspection Services
We provide an independent scaffold inspection service that meets the legal requirements of The Work at Height Regulations 2005 (as amended), these can be scheduled or as and when needed. Although not a statutory requirement we can produce a Handover Certificate on completion of works and Decommission Certificate when the scaffold is dismantled.
Marine
We can provide a variety of solutions to create the right dockyard or ship maintenance scaffolding for your needs whether it is for commercial or private projects.

I am the owner of Area Scaffolding Ltd and also a Director of Tredwell Developments Ltd, I have over 25 years experience within the construction industry. My knowledge and understanding of the building trade gives me first-hand experience of scaffolding services and the importance of time constraints, reliability, efficiency and health & safety.
Tredwell is a company which has been trading 12 years and it has gone from strength to strength building new homes and developing properties around Norfolk and Suffolk. However, when it came to scaffolding I found myself getting let down constantly and this in turn would sabotage my works schedule. This is why I started Area Scaffolding and why one of my main goals will always be reliability and good customer relations.
I have lived locally all my life and have developed many strong relationships both personal and professional. I am passionate about Rugby, I am a committee member and sponsor at Lowestoft & Yarmouth Rugby Club where I have in the past played and coached at junior level.
